Attrition was already out of control before RIF.

Lord save Oracle now.

I saw 6 retirements in past 3.5 months, and zero replacement hires.
All with 20 to 25 years experience.

Got a wheelbarrow load more work.

I don't get why do anything to make Oracle struggle? Just do what is best for you.

There are two sides to this. Anyone worth their salt will jump ship, and at the same time, only bottom of the barrel talent will join.

Yes, that sounds like DEC in their last years. When they started laying off people and stripping out product lines, people started to leave out the windows, leaving behind the flotsam, which begot hiring more flotsam.

History just keeps repeating.

I was going to leave either way. But yeah, I noticed the writing on the wall when leaders started departing. It's only going to get worse. Why anyone would want to work here anymore is mind boggling.

Honestly we should all do our part to make sure this company struggles. It has already done the lion's share.

In addition to ongoing attrition, there is another trend happening among the ECA’s. The role is far to demanding, and it is burning people out. ECA’s are option for attrition, or simply jumping to other areas; becoming technical sales resources, joining consulting ranks, or transferring into CG org.
