Charlotte based... Anyone know range here? Non tech, don't ask me why they give that title but I just want to know the range.

Sad, because there are real engineers who are good and who would aspire to that position, but are pigeon-holed (or "silo'd", or "towered", or whatever the term in vouge is today) into mindless jobs from which there is no escape short of resignation.
