Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Resigned Monday - No More Stress Wednesday

Resigned from a Mgmt post and gave 2 weeks' notice.
Leaving for 50% increase.
Anyone else.

@5gft+1i2iu931 Are you an IT auditor (CISA/CISM/CISSP)? I was in audit literally almost 10 years ago and get LinkedIn pings almost daily for IT Audit Mgrs that pay very well. If you are you may want to have someone look at how you have your resume written.

Good luck!

I already have an audit certification. Testing pays better than any audit job as well.

@1cbv+1i2iu931 Sorry to say but that’s because testing is not a difficult skill to find. Many companies are automating their testing as well, driving down the value of the position.

You might want to consider getting an audit certification and going in that direction.

If I left WF, I'd take a 20% pay cut. No one in my metro area is offering what Wells Fargo pays me now.

Has anyone in Testing & Validation left for more money and a remote role? Can’t find anything close to what I’m getting at Wells that is also remote.

Left this week for a 20% bump minimum (can increase but won’t go lower) and fully remote. Should’ve done this much sooner.

OP here - 50% salary increase over WF pay, comparable bonus structure and all other incidentals as well, but been here a long time. Financial Services competitor and not fintech firm. those who doubt haven't looked.

@1oyb+1i2iu931 I’m not the OP but 50% salary increase seems outrageous but it’s not for a FinTech. High risk going to one (see Coinbase) but definitely high reward. They’re not the only places to do better though.

I left to go to a financial services company - they didn’t blink giving a 30% base raise, higher bonus structure, sign on, converted outstanding RSUs with shorter vest period (higher priced stock, too), lower cost benefits with higher coverage, 401k match per pay period and discounted stock purchase plan. My manager tried to counter but could not match all aspects of the offer.

Add up the whole package and 50% increase is probably in the ballpark. I was at Wells for 8 years, also in tech, also in mgmt.

I call BS. I am in management and very well paid. Either you cannot negotiate or have been there 30 years. No way you got a job never mind 50%. Before you down vote or attack me, I am an Exceeds employee with a marketable skill set, and have been recruited. All recruiting stops over salary. So spare me this BS post. If you are in India then I believe you.

@jmt+1i2iu931 Don’t burn any bridges where you’re coming from. This place will have you screaming to go back for 10% of your salary.
