Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Bedminster,NJ Location - Closing or not?

Any idea whats going on with the Bedminster location in New Jersey? Rumor has it that the lease is coming to an end.
An email was sent out early June title "Real Estate Optimization" letting us know which floors were being closed off.

The new company is really not AT&T. Just in name only…it’s run by archaic SW Bell managers who as we all have seen made some of the worst business decisions in history. Glad I retired…

Anyone see the email that went out today from the office of Paul Rosenbaum? Stating that the Bedminster location will be moved to two different buildings off of 206.

Thoughts?

So it's safe to say that majority will stay WFH

For a short period of time as they close the facility. They'll then be told that they are being relocated to Dallas. Move or be terminated. 90% will refuse, meeting the attrition goal. The remainder will be laid off over the next couple years.

Game over.

So it's safe to say that majority will stay WFH? Has anyone at Bedminster been told to report back yet?
As far as I've seen, most of the floors have been vacated or downsized.

that was AT&T history, not sbc history. SBC bought AT&T out to keep its name, not it's legacy. All these managers come from the local Southwest Bell Company, run it like a local bell, and don't care 2 shakes about the storied AT&T legacy or history

Yes, we were told by end of 2023. But they are moving most people in to two other buildings on route 202.

The NOC was moved to Texas a while back. Most of the furnishings have been sold or tossed. Everyone I know who worked there was told they are 100% vo. The town wants that building gone to make way for nice new mcmansions.
