Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Layoffs in Oracle Advertising/ ODC

Heard there may have been several layoffs at Oracle Advertising (former ODC). Is this true? With so many who have already left- how is possible to keep the business going?
Sorry for those who got notice today. Better companies are out there for sure.

Word on the grapevine is that the entire former-Moat / ODC QA team just got hit by the layoffs.

Do we think they will close MOAT down completely? Seems like it’s been dying for awhile now

The rumor is true

Keep hearing rumors that they’re debating shuttering OA down to a skeleton crew and a big RIF coming in CX. Entire division is underwater, forecast is grim and revenue per head is negative.

Hoping this is just heresy…

"How is it possible to keep the business going?"

Correct. It's not. Ever since EU and US privacy laws and high-profile breaches a few years ago, OAd has been a dying model. They tried to shift to Moat/Grapeshot away from legacy Datalogix/Addthis, but it's too little, too late.

Too many quality leaders left (and a few sh--e ones did, as well) and the new crew is a bunch of losers, hired for a losing venture.

If you DIDN'T get laid off, know that the only one who hires for OCI is... OCI.
