Any working mothers on this board? I have a 2 and 8 year old boys. It's difficult to manage but somehow I do. How about you?

What kind of s-xist thinks that working mothers have it harder than working fathers?
My son is grown but my husband and I both worked and sent him to day care during the day and then after school during the elementary years. Husband travelled so I made sure to find a job with no travel requirements and close to home since we also had no family in our state to help if needed. Little to no flexibility in those days and no work from home options since technology wasn’t what it is today. You do what you have to. It’s not easy some days, guilt is a given. but you do what you have to and in the end my son was just fine and as parents we are too.
Yeah, I have a 3 year old. It has gotten easier as he gets older but the first two years were so intense. We are fortunate to be able to afford to hire someone to watch him in our home while we work, and my husband works from home all the time so I'm able to manage the commute. I'm so disgusted by some of the comments on here, super s-xist. There's nothing wrong with being a working mother or father. We certainly couldn't afford to save money if we didn't both work. This isn't an economy that really supports one income households well.

I work, my wife stays home and watched them. This isn't difficult.
Widow. Had to put my son in daycare, but had grandparents to help as well. Difficult times but made it through. My son graduated from college c-m laude and is now working in his major. I experienced a layoff too during this period.
I have an 8 and 4 yo. It’s rough, flying by the skin of my teeth most days but manage somehow to make it day by day. One is special needs and it’s hard as a working parent… there’s really no support
I paid my retired neighbor to come over early, feed them breakfast and take them to school or daycare. I get to work very early and leave early.
Single dad here, when I got a full-time WFH job I moved to be close to my parents so I didn't have to pay for daycare. Now that they're in school it's easier, but I don't work a standard schedule and that can be really hard on us.
Thankfully, I have an understanding team.
I find it easier letting someone else take care of my children, much easier for me. They don't turn out as well as adults but that's not my problem.
Raised 2 on my own. Both successful now. The years flew by. You wonder how to do and yet always do. When in preschool, hired someone to pick up and stay with them till I was home. Later, after school care, then after school activities (ie sports) kept them busy and prepared them for uni. Precious times, try to stay in the moment and enjoy them!
Our kids are grown but daycares in our are charge $400+ a week for infants. It’s nearly doubled since our kids were young. I feel for you, it has to be tough!
Gen X here - my kids are grown, but went to daycare as well. I would drop off and go to work later, and my husband went to work early and picked up. We tried to make the day as short as possible for them. When they were late grade school, I started working from home. That helped, because I could go to sports easier after work. We are both energetic people, so we were able to make it work. If one of you could stay home, that's probably the easiest solution. I hope you can do whatever works best for you! :)
