When I ask if she knows something that I do not she just smiles and says no. But she feels that we'll recover and hit $60 again. Not sure what to think about it but I still do keep some of our stock in 401K...

It will hit $60 once the execs figure out how to remove the asset cap.
Remember, we are still being punished for the sins of our fathers.
comparing performance over the last year is meaningless, because WFC stock has been at such a depressed level since asset cap. So yes, WFC fell less, but it's because it hadn't risen as much in the booming market.
Although the market may surge and drop and sometimes individual stocks go thru blips - fundamentally the asset cap has cost WFC billions of dollars of foregone earnings, and by definition limits the stock's upside potential.
It's not happening...some growth stocks which have been beaten up (badly) like CVNA or ZOOM may be due for a pop. It's now just a trader's market and not buy/hold. Blue chips like WFC may hit 52-54 but that's it.
WFC stock may make sense for some funds to buy because of the dividend, but that's really one of the few positives.
Sounds like WFC needs a little more training about how to handle non public information.
Over the last one year period
WFC -11%
JPM -26%
BOA -23%
CITI -33%
Seems like we aren’t doing too bad
It might, it could, perhaps, maybe, potentially....someday, somedaze. Someday you could win that lotto! Keep hamstering and stay thirsty with massive inflations and empty promises
your "manager" is likely a corporate american lackey. That's why they're there and got "promoted" to that position. they have certain knowledge, attitude, and believes that make them servile corporate cucks and simps. enjoy those hot dogs
2018 eh?
YEAR RANGE
The range between the high and low prices over the past 52 weeks
$36.54 - $60.30
With WF saying they will not be doing anymore stock buy-backs any time in the near future, I would ask her who her dealer is.
It hasn't been $60 since end of 2018, won't be there again anytime soon... You're manager is smoking something funny.
Re: interest rates going higher.
Well-run intelligently-managed banks will profit. WFC will f it up.
Nothing is guaranteed, but it’s certainly not crazy. It hit that in February and the asset cap was in place and everyone still knew the interest rates were going up back then as well. Compare the 10 year stock performance to the peers and most other big banks are up 3-400% and WFC is flat.
This may be unpopular, but it very well could hit 60 by EOY. Why? Because banks make money when interest rates are higher. With the Feds promise to continue to raise rates this year, my GUESS (I forgot my crystal ball) is that 60 is possible. As a side note, WFC trades at 8.26x earnings as of yesterday, which is cheap by any standards, and was at 60 in February of this year.
It will be $20 before $60.
She’s drinking the Kool-aid, which would make me question everything she says and does.
It might hit $60, but also might come right back down with this economy and upcoming recession. Let your manager go down with the ship, save yourself!!
With inflation going like it is, it wouldn't be a surprise if it did. The stock won't be worth more, the dollar will just me worth less.
I “feel like” your “manager” might be drinking on the “job” she sort of does.
@1nvj+1htNT9Sd and then you woke up and said, thank god it was a dream!
I just changed my 401k to be 100% in company stock!
It will easily hit $60 by eoy... Is this a joke?
Stocks go up and stocks go down. She has no idea it’s going to be $60.
Yeah, I'm sure your random manager has tye insider info. The only way that happens is if the asset cap is lifted and it doesn't look good for EOY
Shyeah, and monkey's might fly out of her bu-t.
Things will go up and down. Remember, the stock was under $30 a year ago, so it can go down too
