Businesses operate for profit, they can be sued by shareholders if they do not produce enough profit.

OK @gro that's the mantra from the past. Where did it take us? The rich are getting richer. They keep telling us just do good work and all will be OK but it never happen. We already have vastly different Medical Rates, different HSA contributions, etc. Looks at the State and Federal Tax system, same thing. The wealth destruction on the wealthy's savings is also far heavier. You can get the masses on board with socialist policies but in
the free market, the only thing this proposal will do is drive highly skilled talent to competitors who will adjust their comp for inflation. This also has design flaws, your better off making for example 148K than making 150K.
How about pay for performing, instead of pay By poverty level. Sounds like a union rule…
