Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

smh…getting laid off any day now.

  • manager noshow all meetings that included me.
  • boss cancelled the upcoming One on One.
  • LOB + Product Manager avoid me and respond with one word answers.
  • being watched like a hawk.
  • other posts talk bout layoffs this week as well

meh, any other company i’d move on but here at WF, i make bonds and get to learn from really good people who care about another even though they’re not required to. People ask each other how they feel and care if you’re not well. I appreciate every day i get to work here and use my skills and even though it might be a little inconvenient, RTO helps make and grow those bonds.
But like the rest of you i have anxiety of getting laid off and i’m pretty sure it’s about to happen either tomorrow or next day. yeah, it sucks bad and even worse afterwards.

You deserve better than to have this hanging over your head. Sorry the dynamics have changed but there is life after WF even if worst comes to worst. You’ve clearly had some good times and have decent peers. That can happen again. Hang in there!

Seriously.....this treatment used to mean "not a good fit" and "your career options are limited". And a lot of us still believe that. However I've got news for y'all.....this seems to be normal practice now at WF! Checked out managers, checked out employees, the only ones talking are the ones who consistently can't DO. In fact, filling up the airwaves with chatter substitutes for good honest work. And it does work!! How many folks here know those who opine on everything....but do nothing? The doers are clearly outnumbered by the talkers. Sad state of affairs.....

My manager and team treated met that way for six years. Not necessarily a layoff sign.

I'm in the same situation with my manager totally ignoring me. It's been going on for a long time, like over a year now.

I think it has more to with my manager being totally checked out of WF than anything else.

I've been expecting a layoff all this time, but no luck yet. When (if) they lay me off here, I'm just going to retire, so I'm not worried about it at all. I've gone from performing like an olympic swimmer to just sitting poolside with my feet in the water.
