Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle sucks

Oracle treats its employees like complete dirt. Not doing anything this year and will focus on finding a new employer. I will travel and enjoy the summer while doing the absolute minimum. Anyone else milking it for the summer?

Is there anyone who remembers when layoffs were for temporary work slowdowns and not used as a corporate tool for manipulating Wall St stock price and the bottom line?

Layoffs used to mean that a company had failed in some regard, and was pinned squarely on mgmt.

No one accused those who got hit of laziness, sloth, indifference, ambivalence or ignorance of their jobs. Managers didn’t get bonuses for layoffs. Companies were not rewarded.

Now it’s just another example of how corp America sets us against each other so they can do whatever tf they want free of scrutiny or blame.

Layoffs are a management failure. So are employees who have checked out of their work. You can bet those people didn’t start that way! Oracle wore them down little by little to their nubs. To the raw nerve that screams WHAT AM I DOING HERE?!

Some progress to the obvious HOW DO I GET OUT? Others are too broken to get there right away, or at all.

All of these posters who say how they do no work but take their pay should tell it to those from ACX and other teams who just lost their jobs this week.

Many of these bozos who post that it’s okay to gouge any company that they’re not happy with by willingly accepting paychecks and benefits for doing little or no work are nothing more than thieves. Immature, ungrateful, thieves. Just amazing how these sl--e bags justify their unethical behavior.

Honestly no matter what I do, they're going to lay my a-s off anyways during this upcoming recession, so I'm giving 85% effort, being a good teammate/making connections and trying to enjoy my life a bit before it all falls apart (again). Having been through the last recession, I've learned to not break my back against things I can't control.

So yeah, trying to enjoy my summer.

Another day of relaxation from this dirty man. I’m hitting all numbers and have never missed my quota. Oracle made the decision to dock many high performers pay so I’ll enjoy my
Benefits, paycheck, and total freedom to do whatever I want until o find new employer. God I love my nerve!! Haha I wish you hero’s well and Godspeed to the last poster who prob sucks his managers off. Milk it season has begun!

Absolutely, complete dirt! Imagine the nerve of them to offer you a job (that you accepted), and actually being bad enough to pay you for your work. And they were awful, letting you work all throughout the pandemic, when they could have laid you off, and forcing you to work from the comfort of your own home! Plus all those crummy benefits! Unbelievable.

Complete dirt!

Makes no sense to complain without providing any reason for the grief

If you are not happy at Oracle then do the right thing and leave. Don’t just sit on your fat chops collecting a paycheck and doing no work. Find employment where you are valued and have the incentive to put forth your best work. Don’t be a lazy corporate slug!

There are many slugs it is wrong to take a paycheck and do nothing
Good for to do an honest days work
Oracle is in worse shape alot people are not motivated because leadership is so corrupt when so many worked hard and have their work stolen and a corrupt VP files a patent naming himself and others from foreign countries that have nothing to do with the patent -is just coverup attempt of some sort which we will hopefully know the full story soon
committing a crime that everybody knows about yet he still degrades everyone he can -
Is a bad example and abuse of his position. He needs to terminated ASAP

It really harms the company
When it catches. Up with him
It will do more damage to the company
Public opinion for Oracle and fraud
is rock bottom

Be glad you are out

Gotta love these corporate slugs who take their jobs for granted, do nothing and collect their paychecks, while others who got RIF’d by Oracle over the years worked hard and did their best. Hope that the slugs get exposed for who they are and receive their RIF notices soon.

Typical bottom-of-the-barrel Oracle hanger-on. Just a C-team player.
