Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Many make surprising progress after leaving here

I know a few people who were undervalued and almost invisible here but they have done great things in other companies. In a short time they became star employees in much better companies. So this company is a hotbed of talent for others to pick through. How come they don't know how to get the best out of their employees?

Oracle is in a sad state and the saddest part of all is the real pathetic id--ts that are in leadership positions.
I agree they are responsible for putting O on its death bed. It could have been avoided.
Fortunate that many employees hve left over the years and have jobs where they can’t believe that real management teams - (imagine a “team” ???). actually exists.
Those at Oracle in leadership will be lucky if they can get a job parking cars. They have no skills, d-mb as dirt,
too old to be hired for any type of decent job and too young to retire.
They will getting what they deserve.

Sure hope for them they’ve been saving the money that they have stolen from so many for so many years. But, then they’re too stupid to realize that their days at Oracle are numbered.
They’ll never make much money in the future whereas, those they bullied will do much better. It pays to do the right things. It also catches up with those that have mistreated so many.

You can’t solve our problems by hiring b-team players from other companies to manage our stable. They don’t have the solutions, and they our challenged by the existence of our internal talent.

“A-players are already long gone.”

Not yet, but we are bleeding out from multiple wounds.

At this point any employee who sticks around due to fear (or any other reason for that matter) is, by definition, a B-team or a C-team player. A-players are already long gone.

There again, certain people rather risk the future of the company than to promote those that could lead the company back to greatness.
The ego’s, selfish, self-indulging, corrupt leaders have caused a huge downfall for this company by overlooking many talented individuals that could have secured their future until retirement.
Looks like this upcoming recession and current industry shifting might cause some of those folks to fall short
before retirement age.
Interesting how things come back to haunt those that have caused much grief to others.

Exactly! I have seen multiple folks who were overlooked at Oracle who have rapidly advanced after they moved.
