Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Major IT project are going on Hold

The Workday Payroll project is on 'Hold' until EOY 2023. Rumor has it the Oracle Financials upgrade to Fusion is in 'Review'. Both of these projects are in the 10s of millions and multiple year projects. Now is this a tightening of the purse strings by new management, reprioritization of funds to other projects or are they scrubbing the books to make them look better?

So much money going to Accenture. We pay so called system people to listen to the business units needs. This team then tells Accenture to do the work. It’s so inefficient for T & lucrative for Accenture.

This is what happen when you have so many senior leaders sitting idle. They have nothing to do other than try to fix cr-p that is not broke. Seriously, about a 1/3 of the officer team needs to go and start enforcing span and controls.

Just look at the board members of the company whose package we are replacing a perfectly fine corporate system - chance are you'll find an ATT executive.

kickbacks generally drive stupid replacements

Let me guess, we had a system that worked fine and as usual AT&T tried to fix something that wasn’t broke. I guess it’s good news that they realized it beforehand because usually they just go through with the “upgrades” and tell us to work around it when it screws up.

Projects put on hold, funding frozen, funding will then be scooped in 4Q. Seen it happen time and time again.

This is common practice, buy industry standard software and f@#$ing up during implementation.

As usual, T cannot use any software out-of-the-box as it was intended without putting Toxic-T's stamp of Death to make it a total POS.

My first exposure was the new Service-Now Time Reporting system. Good move was to change it to be exception time only reporting. So no more inputting time every week if you show up to work. Bad move was it was a total POS and you could not jump to any place in the calendar to put in your future vacation like they require you to. Try putting in vacation for the end of year and it takes you an hour.

Toxic T can turn good software into bad - like always.

As long as I'm getting paid, I don't give a rip if it's by workday or whatever.

Cash those checks.
