US empire corporations love trying to manipulate their workers. At the company, I was being grossly underpaid by the way. They told me to come into the office after I just finished my remote work assignment. So I said no, and they said we'll have to terminate your employment. So I said adios. Couple days later they contact me asking if I'd accept a part time remote role, so I asked for a raise (to market rate). They said no, so again I said bye bye.
Not going to sell my soul to work for a cra#$y american organization and no one else should either. But too many people are worried about what will happen when they leave their jobs. Stop being played like a fiddle faddle by these usa-er clowns

My assumption is they thought changing 401k matching to year-end was too generous, so VM got the boot. Now they will want you to hand over your first-born to get a one-time match. If you don't have children, or actually want to keep your first-born, no match for you. You can settle for leftover tchotchkes from the sad RTO "welcome" - like badge holders and WF-branded masks, etc. Maybe even a cr---y pen????
