Meetings with managers have to be concluded by this Friday. Did you have your’s yet? How was it? How much BS and non-sense was there?

Meets with a 4.4% increase in salary for market adjustment per his words. I’ll take it!
Mid-year reviews are meaningless. It's just check the box. Mine had very few words I did not provide and my manager was too busy to talk about it, It will be on the agenda for the next 1-on-1 that will not happen. I'm ok with it all as I understands things.
Hate to say it - but most managers have zero understanding of your job, or your day -to-day performance. It’s sad, but true.
It would be interesting to see how you would rate if you put a smile on your face every day, suck up to your boss, attend all meetings and then totally doctor your self -review. Make it look official, detailed and accurate. Include dates you started and completed realistic -sounding projects, detail fake problems you solved and provide fake dollar amounts you saved the company by solving said fake problems, fake compliments for your extraordinary service received from fake customers etc.
I’m convinced we have people doing this who are quickly climbing the corporate ladder.
Reviews are often based on the C-Suite’s latest random passion projects, which are different from year to year and have nothing to do with the work at hand.
About 5 years ago, WFC was into employees volunteering and giving to charities. Lovely idea, but this should never be included on an employee performance review. It counted for 20% of your review that year.
So we had teams of unproductive employees who were given high marks for spending weeks (during the day) planning and building art projects with food cans in the halls of WFA, putting together backpacks and Easter baskets for children, and volunteering outside the office on beautiful days instead of working. The employees who stayed in the office and worked, picked up the slack, answered the phones, dealt with system issues and served our customers and FAs were dinged on their reviews for not participating in “CARE” which lasted one year.
Anyone want to know why this company is a hot mess?
To 1fjb+1hT9rueW. Tell your manager to manage!! Thats ridiculous, expecting you to report your co-workers to him. You can refuse to do their work for them.
Meets based on recent project, but, I need to be more proactive. I confessed that I was covering for my coworkers not submitting their work, and it finally came back to haunt me, in writing. He said I should have told him and he would have indirectly lit a fire without naming names ... he is right. Four months to somehow prove my mettle with my lackadaisical team. Four months to find a glimmer of fortitude in this abyss, when I know there is none.
happy with mine
Welcome to the "new" Wells Fargo where middle managers are afraid to stick up for the people that actually do the work. People like Lester (who?) another JPM retread makes $13.6M giving jobs to I&P
Got needs improvement because of phishing emails! In general, I ignore them but now I'm told that's as bad as clicking a spam link. Here for 10 years and never had any training about phishing emails. Now, after the fact, it's a process error! What? Where's the process doc on the website? All other goal areas (MY JOB!) meet or exceeds. Management decided this is a process error in July after the Fed starting raising interest rates (likely another .75 bp tomorrow/Thursday) and everyone including my kids know layoffs are imminent in the mortgage industry. So what's this - no severance? What a shart show!
for our area older team members all got meets, the younger team members all got exceeds. at least that is the gossip. Place is so toxic I can't believe anything anymore.
Your manager won't share with you anything about any other employee's review. No company allows that.
Same as every year, meets. No one else can do my job.
Haven’t even heard a thing from my manager on when I get mine.. so it’s going well I suppose lol
Meets with no issues. Manager said he submitted an exceeds for someone on the team but was shot down by management and to give the person a meet rating.
Not sure how you can compare your review with another random person on the internet.
Hasn’t had one yet. Should be exceeds or consistent exceed like usual
Got a Meets. How will we know who got Exceeds? I am new to WF so wondering if your manager can share
Was told by manager that I was submitted as exceeds but upper management changed to meets, the only reason was they thought you should take on more work from people who are performing below expectations.
Had mine on Friday. Got through it ok with a Meets but boss is new, painfully inept, and trying to compensate with bluster—not a good combination. The forced performance distribution on my small, tight-knit, high-performing team was going to be toxic enough without him in the mix. Soooo I updated my resume over the weekend and with no small amount of regret am going to look for new roles outside as well as within the company.
In my area of my LOB Managers still haven’t been given the all clear to conduct mid year reviews. Has been held up at the OC level as they review calibration. We were supposed to get the ok to start doing them a week and a half ago. Can’t imagine what is holding them up.
Exceeds. Let’s hope I get the same year end.
Mine went well; meets with positive comments
I'd come back and tell you on Thursday once my manager calls me to give me a 1-minute explanation, but this thread will be buried by then.
The one review where the guy had a project from 2021 heavily weighted for your mid-year. This just goes to show how much the spineless middle managers have zero clue about the HR rules. Nov 2021 work should have been covered on year end 2021 review... yes, we know you dips#its write up the garbage in October, but the period of performance still includes OCT NOV and DEC. I had my d-mba$$ two-up (Todd) tell me the period of performance ended at the time the review was written. I quit less than a year later due to the made up statements in my year end review and also because I had a huge project that I ki---d myself to get done from late OCT to Dec 16, 2020 and they didn't provide any positive remarks for my 2020 nor 2021 review. So basically I did all that work for zero recognition. THEN I QUIT AFTER 23 YEARS WORKING FOR SPINELESS MONEY GRUBBING ID--T MIDDLE MANAGERS. F. YOU WF AND COMPANY.
Exceeds but told I’ll have to make do with less resources and work more the rest of the year to maintain the rating.
I asked the manager what the purpose was for the formality of the review and the calibration given that there is no impact to compensation, "rank", etc. They didn't know. Seems like an over engineered process. A waste of time.
Meets is not bad.
We just need to understand the new ratings...
I opened an HR case. Meets but most feedback referenced a project that ended in Nov 2021?! My own feedback had a very large list of accomplishments for first half of the year. We’ve had an incredible amount of attrition in our team and the manager doesn’t reassign the work when people leave. I took the initiative to pick a lot of it up and have demonstrable evidence of completion.
When I pointed these things out my manager basically said that I was right but he already put it through Workday and didn’t have time to figure out if he could edit it. Unlike CP&D there is no room for post delivery comments or even an acknowledgment button. Another triumph for Minimal Viable Product.
Manager does not have time to discuss... just go out to WorkDay and review. Same old sh-t. The dumpster fire continues to burn with high levels of toxicity.
exceeds ... felt the same as getting a meets. just lucky i had some work during the first half. will probably end year meets
Meets, so presumably I get severance when the axe falls.
Meets. No other feedback in relation to money or career. Just another day in the endless hostage situation. 🤦🏻♂️
I was told I got Meets, no further details provided.
