Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

The most unprofessional management I've ever worked with

There are so many things I could list here to make my point. From poor decisions to no focus to lack of talent due to layoffs and attrition to no accountability and so on and so on... Due to this, every day we have to deal with problems that could have easily been avoided. Every single day. I've never looked for a new job harder than I am now. I'm not staying in this mess one day longer than I have to.

I may never be good enough for someone, but I'll be the best for those who deserve me!

Meyer and Case are exhibits 1 and 1a when it comes to this. Especially Meyer.

Unfortunately the SunTrust way of doing business is throwing everyone under the bus. No one will take accountability for anything and pass the blame when something is wrong to the underdogs. It's pitiful but true. The Commercial side is ruthless! You'll see that any good City Executives from BB&T have all moved on where they are wanted for their expertise at other institutions. Truist lost wall the good talent, and now it's pure mayhem. It's a shame!

I had a wonderful manager, but everyone above them thought their ideas were better than people on the ground in both heritage organizations. I felt horrible leaving them, but at the same time I’m wasn’t going to ki-l myself for a broken process for those at the top to look good. Got out a while ago. Best decision I’ve made in years.

The constant message I got from SunTruist management, was "we are awesome and you are not!" . That is one of the big reasons I left.

The 1st requirements of professional management are- Respect and Trust towards each other both of which have been missing in post-merger Truist. The Values, etc. are all a sham. People are being chucked out on any pretext including falsified pretexts. How can you work in such an atmosphere where your own manager is untrustworthy or they have a plan to convert their favorite contractors to full time but ONLY as a replacement to let go current employees.

Good luck to you. I started my job search because- among many other things, I found management to be terrible. There are so many other jobs out there. It feels good to now be appreciated where I currently work.
