But somehow they don't look for results. Not PowerPoint slanted results but hard black and white numbers results. See more MBA Chiefs of Staff who run around like glorified admins get pushes for being yes yes yes good little beavers.

you mean att managers always looking for toadies
rain man syndrome. to be an att leader your nose must fit perfectly in your superiors crevice.who’s on first
you think all the mba's and masters in computer science from georgia tech the company would actually be functional and produce a competent product.
but you just have a bunch of people that are geniuses in there own mind that think they know what they are doing,
OP is venting some frustration that ATT continues to run the business in the same way that failed for years before. If these MBA chiefs of staff were a good strategy, we'd be rich instead of shrinking and spinning off our recent acquisitions.
We need to change. We are not doing it. There will be more layoffs until reality forces our leadership progression to modernize.
ATT needs to return to being a network company. I doubt that will happen. Back in the day, the network org was at the top and the financials were a couple layers below.
Would s*** to be so jealous of a role I don't understand that I run to a random message board about layoffs to vent and whimper. Good luck with that.
What they actually promote is fealty and nepotism.
"MBA" is just the sparkly facade to distract from that truth.
The mba game is over. T just hasn’t figured that out yet. T needs leadership with technical expertise and vision to move the company forward.
The 1990’s called and they want their upper mgmt philosophy back.
So glad I’ll be getting my pension in two years. I get offers every year to leave. I will not leave without that money, honey.
They need to promote people that deliver on commitments. Not powerpoint jockeys!
They are looking for leaders because they haven't found any yet!
