@1big+1hIPzyba Thank you! My LOB doesn't have the referenced call so I appreciate the explanation.

AMA=Ask Me Anything
I noticed too the "everyone is replaceable" comment. I think its a sign of the times. Labor market is turning, and now they can get a little more harsh on the cuts and RTO. At least, that is what my takeaway is. I don't agree with either RTO or the replaceable comments however. Not sure what to think anymore.
@1jib+1hIPzyba
Really? Did that make you feel better to be snarky? I hope your day gets better. I also hope someone is willing to tell me what AMA stands for in the context of this thread.
Welcome to the internet!
What is AMA?
Now if we could just get rid of him and get someone who is willing to understand what actually happens on the ground instead of hanging out on high, sipping his coffee and looking down on all us little people.
@tbv+1hIPzyba It won’t be the fall. It will be next week in IT.
@byu that’s interesting. Who do we think would replace him? A current direct or external?
Based upon some of his history and some recent actions, SvB will probably announce he's leaving within the next 6 months. It's coming.
@kin they always say this and it never happens.
it's hard to move people around.
i am done for today, logging off - you all have a great night.
I knew I wasn’t going to miss much by skipping coffee glasses boi.
He also said they would try to move people into areas that were hiring, instead of laying off. Not sure if i believe that will happen.
If everyone is replaceable, so is he and the people above him.
I believe we will have a massive layoff in the fall.
The economy is bad.
Perhaps a last ditch effort in hopes a few more will jump ship to save some severance packages. After all, a save is a save.. is a save.
What did he exacetely say?
I would agree that everyone is replaceable, the problem right now is the pace at which they are able to replace them.
Well haven’t a bunch of us been crying about senior execs being up front about layoffs? Then a guy is up front about layoffs and we start crying. Make up your mind people. We can’t have it both ways. You want to be left in the dark and wondering about it or you want someone to be truthful and tell you your just a number and likely to be replaced?
Every time I read these, I feel fortunate I left that sh!tshow last year because I saw what was coming. Been there before.
That is incredible. Not a way to keep people engaged.
“Everyone is replaceable” can we start with the guy who spent the most money with the least to show for it?
He should stop doing these.
Sounds like he's trying to lead with the stick. Everyone thinks or knows that, but who says that on a nationwide call?
I feel so inspired after the AMA!
Right out of the gate he told us that displacements will continue and then followed it up with an especially encouraging comment that we are “all replaceable “
What a leader! How can you not be motivated to give your best effort after such an inspirational message!
That is the failed Chase management mantra, and they have done it before and sank that ship
Call me 008. What's your favorite WF joke.
Call me 007. I have a question. How do I climb the corporate ladder fast. I am 33 and still stuck in an entry level analyst job and I need to move up the ladder fast. I am in IT. Thank you for any pearl of wisdom you can share on this.
Am I and Wells Fargo "a family"?
@bgg - He really said that? Wow!
Yeah-yeah, let’s hold hands!
Yeah....nice and encouraging words. I get it. Everyone is...butcwith all the layoffs and THREATS of layoffs not good wording there big guy!
"You are all replaceable" -SvB
“Everyone is replaceable”
I came onto this site specifically to see if anyone posted about the AMA "sip of coffee" again this month. Too funny
