Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What percentage of T employees fully support Stankey and his vision?

In your humble opinion, what percentage of T employees stand firmly with Stankey and his forward vision for AT&T?

Every time Stankey opens his mouth on any subject, the corporate-speak is so deep the average employee practically needs a translator to make any sense of it. Stankey is one of those people who doesn't really have anything of value to say, so he works extra hard at sounding like he does. That's also why he's always so aggressive in conversations, so as to discourage anyone from questioning anything he says, because in reality there's nothing behind any of it. So anything that comes out of his pie ho-e about "vision" or anything else for that mater is just bu-----t. Yeah, there's a certain percentage of any group of people that automaticaly supports whomever is in power in any situation. Within T that percentage has got to be higher than in the general population because indepenent thinkers and those who ask questions tend to get weeded out over time. Hard to say with any precision what the number of Stankey fan bois is, but among management employees it's not insignificant.

I don’t know the answer but I think The Stank has some great news to give us on 7/21. You should have received an email about a 15 min call he is hosting on this date, the same day the earnings are being released. On earnings reporting day it is normal for he and Jeff to send out an email but I don’t recall anyone hosting a call on earnings day. I expect it is to report some great news about the past quarter. Somehow they plan to answer live questions during this 15 min meeting. They run out of time during their 1.5 hour THalls to answer questions, this should be interesting. What will be the skit for this and what do u think the Stank will wear - pajamas, no shirt (think Putin), bathing suit. How about his footwear?

It’s money for nothing, easy job, good pay, company vehicle, decent benefits, work only a few hours per day...nobody cares about his lack of vision! It’s been a company without any clear and concise direction since the breakup in 1984!

He seems to know a lot more about television and Hollywood and would be better suited in that arena

You mean a vision of 2 techs for truck in C&E , so the company can sell 1 costly truck away? WT’s required to work a 6 day schedule but may go a day or 2 on regular time with no task time, nothing available to do? Being forced 3 after notification but then required to get permission to work on a copper circuit after 5 pm?

That vision, bankruptcy?

I'm going out on a limb and say 2% support Stankey and his vision. I may be over estimating.

AT&T workers don't need a vision. They just need to whine about things they have no clue about.

And what is his "vision" again? Oh, you mean getting away from a business he knows nothing about to focus on a business we have been doing since Alexander Graham Bell was a young thing? Is Stinky calling that being a visionary now? That's pathetic. If that's vision then everyone who has ever given up drinking after they wrecked their car is a freaking visionary.

This is the most honest and accurate thing I have read in a long time.
Fun fact, this will get down voted by the Stankey following ducklings.

The vision should’ve always been this. Not the ridiculous media detour.

Why would some percentage matter? This isn't a democracy. Stank is responsible.
