Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Mike Weinbach moving on

Sucks to see a good leader go. They are rare around here.

Kleber Santos is a joke, hiring practices under criminal investigation guru, what a chump.

I doubt it… I always thought the heavy handed RTO push was primarily a Chucky/Scott directive since it is across the whole enterprise. Weinbach was only the head of a few business lines. He may have had to enforce it, but don’t see how he could be responsible for influencing the policy across the entire organization.

Isn't Weinbach the man behind the RTO and hub locations? The guy who has been driving the end of field agents and work anywhere in the country that you have solid internet. If that kind of thinking is leaving the company then I'm glad.

When all ever becomes CEO we should just rename it the chief diversity officer. Chief diversity officer and ceo are one in the same; it’s really the only thing companies should be worried about. To he-l with making money.

We should also be considering if Kleber is being groomed as next CEO once Charles is out

Maybe Mike’s departure is a sign of more troubles coming to Consumer Lending?

So he was at WF for a couple of years - got his millions and walks away.

Meanwhile, you work your whole career and maybe save a fraction of what he got for showing up and fu(king up for less than 36 months.

Now it's KLEBERs turn to cash in and fu(k up.

S(umbags -- every one of them.

Typical of the Chase folks. Bail before it comes crashing down. Chuckles will do the same eventually…again.

Weinback became tainted given the recent lending practices scandals in WFHM. So they replace him with head of DEI.

He just exercised 3mm of stock in June. Another executive here only to line their pockets! Don't feel sorry.

He was more interested in his book club than running a business.

Mike seemed like a decent enough guy

Think the layoff hammer is going to becoming down real severe with the next round in July

Why in the he-l are Charlie and our Board allowed to continue their volatile and incompetent leadership? This place is a joke - a very bad joke.

For a company to be successful, it needs to have stability at the senior levels of the organization. To have otherwise results in poor progress in achieving objectives (Charlie still unsuccessful in getting WFC out from under the asset cap) and the feeling within the organization that the leadership is directionless.

Creating stability starts with having experienced leaders at the top whose management style instills confidence as well as a sound game plan and confidence in the senior management of the organization. A deliberate and well-vetted selection process for hiring competent senior managers is critical.

When leaders make frequent changes to their senior management teams, their credibility and leadership ability should be questioned.

He's got nobody to blame, but himself for coming to this dumpster fire of a shithole bank.

Many more leaders will be leaving as the Wells Fargo shitstorm continues. Tally Ho.

@dmf CS is probably thinking they can use KS as a two-fer. How many of your executive positions are filled by minorities? Two.

Feels like this was the plan all along. Park Santos in a OC role and have him on deck.

Former WF here - I thought Kleiber was moved into a senior HR position when that leader left. Are they moving him around to provide him a role he can actually fill? His roles at Capital One were vague - like when the Indians say they are now VPs or AVPs on their linked in accounts. Is he actually qualified to do anything?

Did you see Shart’s announcement? He is trying to make it sound like he blessed this after asking for better timing. I don’t buy it.

More like he put his foot down or Charlie finally released him from his evil clutch.

What an arrogant CEO, we have!

So the person who got a jammed up with a criminal investigation with fake interviews is now rewarded with a LOB CEO job?

Sounds like old Chase pals are moving on. Wouldn't be surprised if others follow until fall, maybe Chuck too. Might get pretty bad after that.
