People are a competitive advantage stopped when WF switched to Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality as hiring/promotional criteria instead of merit/knowledge/accomplishments.

@2bpy+1hBG0NKp Fun fact: a fair bit of ex-WFC management is over there in the functions the article covers.

@1sev+1hBG0NKp Gallup fired WF as a client after the fake account scandal could no longer be denied. They didn’t want the employee backlash against the corrupt management to taint the global results. That’s why we have/had Tower Willis or whatever they’re called. Can’t remember the last time we got that? A year? 18 months ago?

When Charlie boy decided WF was a cult of team members and changed everyone to a number. If I let go of X number of employees I get this many millions for bonus, if its XX then its twice as much.

I miss the surveys that asked if I have a “best friend” at work.

Anybody remember that whole group that got a layoff a few years ago, where an email went out to the whole company that said, "Such and Such Group is being invited to seek success elsewhere".

Nice "invitation" for those people.

It's one word in the acronym. "A" vs "Our". WF knows people are the competitive advantage, but they've decided to go the Wish.com route. Off-shore, cheap labor that fails to perform vs. qualified, invested citizens. But it's cheaper and they have no interest in the long-term development and sustainability of the bank.

Wow. Just wow. Just eye opening. I didn’t read the book, but even this article was quite interesting.

Hey, remember the old, 'A company is known by the people it keeps.' A balloon along with a certificate that said that was put on my desk a week after I was let go.

ah.... good times.

We have a CEO who only likes other wealthy white men from the East Coast who support his efforts to climb the corporate ladder and widen the pay gap, and who are members of the NYC Ballet. Everyone else is a cockroach in his country club estate who must be permanently eliminated.

It is really remarkable. People aren't a competitive advantage, technology never was and never will be - WF isn't willing to actually support and grown technology. Processes are not a competitive advantage. Asset cap still in place. So what is a competitive advantage at WF? Incredibly overcompensated and incompetent leadership? Um .............

It was more than a “slogan” back in the day when the company understood the worth of good employees

Things have changed so drastically at WF. It almost seems laughable (when you consider how employees are treated today) that PACA was truly a firmly held belief and was quoted by “leaders” often. TALENT was highly valued at one time.

They decided the people belonged to a cult, and wanted them to leave.

Just like many company slogans and ideas they went out the window when a new regime of management came into the picture.
