Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Useless manager

I literally report to the worst excuse of a manager - lazy, doing the bare minimum, while the rest of the team works far more than their fair share to pick up the slack. Don’t know how this person in good conscience accepts a salary. Frustrated . This has been an issue for years. Senior managers are doing nothing about it . Not sure if they know the extent of it, or if they care. Frustrated beyond belief. Pretty sure that raising this will make me the one who appears in a bad light….so leaving it be…so much for the drive to improve efficiencies… getting rid of this person would definitely help in that regard

No worries. The end is near and this won't be a problem

We must be on the same team. This describes my “manager”.

The reality is far more managers deal with useless lazy employees than the other way around

the same system that keeps useless managers around is the same system that keeps useless employees around.

I know lot of managers who fit OP description. Just can't believe how they manage to stay out of radar and still get to collect a fat pay check. Most of them are just waiting for retirement and do bare minimum job.

OP, you literally described 20-30% of all WF employees.

Wells Fargo is crawling with managers like that. I had one who didn’t do any part of his job. Just didn’t do it. He kept on skating because the level above him changed every year or two, and every time it changed he got a clean slate.

Meanwhile be demeaned and demoralized the people who actually did the work.

He’s gone now, but he collected a check from WF for 15 years. Wells loves to protect people like him.

Your manager should go to Boeing, he would fit right in and get promoted really fast.
