Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Increased Pay

what is the likelihood WF will do a mid year raise? with gas expected to be over 5.00 a gallon in the next few weeks nationally, they can’t expect people to drive and into work at these prices? honestly I make over 100k a year barely and I feel as I was doing better financially at 85k a few years ago than I am now. they can’t expect to keep people without more money.

20+ years w/ WF - never received a mid-year increase. I asked recently for increased compensation due to an expanded role I stumbled into and today I was told… it’s being considered…. Recruiters reach out daily, I’ll continue to listen to what they have to say.

Ya it may be time to really jump off the stagecoach. I friend of mine told me BofA just anounced a mid-year pay raise of 3%-8% for everyone making less than $100k. THis was for all the salaried people. Hourly people got a $1/hour bump. Sure wish Wells would follow

My manager’s boss says they are most likely going to curtail, if not freeze, raises and bonuses in the near future due to recession looming.

They'll give the bottom tier people, aka "the disadvantaged" a nickel an hour more, and make good press out of it for DE&I appearances.

If you read the article, most of the increases are in stock grants, not salary. At Wells the majority of those getting stock grants are high earners already. Peons wouldn’t be affected much

You are more likely to be struck by lightning twice. BTW who is in charge of removing content here? Was browsing late last night and there were 2 different posts about the head of DEI and the other about the new Chief Comms Officer? Am I not navigating correctly or what's up? Was looking forward to reading more on those 2.

Well let's think about this, which option would result in the most people quitting? Ok, that's what they will do.

There is not going to be any mid year bump. The only thing that many are getting at midyear is severance.

I make 82 now and am already behind on bills since the last month due to food and gas and rent. I am looking for a new job elsewhere with higher pay and/or remote. And also looking at a second job even until I find the new better long term option. Will just be less hours I can spend here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lol, mid year raise.
If anything they should start giving retention bonuses.

B of A received 7% for most under 100k. I see us getting 0% across the board.

Go watch the replay of SVB’s 2022 Town Hall and fast forward to about 1 hour 10 minutes. He basically told people to stop being poor. The C-Suite doesn’t give a cr-p about how badly the employees are hurting.

Using his advice, I’ve cut back on my expenses by not driving to the office and paying to park.

Charlie would spray his Emperor Rose Congou tea out his nose if he were reading this. Why pay more when you can offshore?

I've never seen it in my two decades here, but rumors on this board have suggested it's possible -- at least this year.

I seriously doubt they'd do a "market adjustment" thing across the board.

We’ll get a pizza party and be told to be grateful for that. This is literally the C Suite’s “Let Them Eat Cake” moment. They may be somewhat insulated at their level from the rigors of commuting and increased fuel, food, and rent prices, but having us in office 3 days a week is starting to cause real financial issues for a lot of my peers. They can do better, but leadership lacks the courage. It’s all profit driven.. let the peons be damned.
