Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

From a decent to an extremely political company in ten years

I swear when I started things were not like this. I could rely on my coworkers and get help from my manager if I needed it. Nowadays, if you don't know how to play the game and you don't watch your back all the time you're screwed. Teams work poorly together since it's always every man for himself. No wonder the whole place is so dysfunctional.

So glad I took a package and left VZ, I saw the workforce division coming from a mile away. CRT is designed to destroy unity and VZ embraced that nonsense! What a bunch of dummies.

After 20+ Years in VZ leadership, I saw the writing on the wall with the advancement of leftist politics in the workplace and resigned. I didn’t want anything to do with the Marxist strategy to create division in America. Just as I expected, the company morale and performance has imploded under the failed radical leftist leadership.

Kudos to you. Your first is think like a white man who wants to do right. The world and this company is filled with narcissists.

Indians only promote their own. The trick is to create a hub and spoke model. The producer and the consumer and everybody in between is from your community or who Aligns with you

The strategy is long term and yes it is all about power!

Remember: In chess the pawns are always compromised

i am white and not afraid that someone as qualified as me of any race or gender "takes" my job.

i am afraid of someone clearly NOT qualified and hired based on race takes my job.

During the last few years of my 28 with VZ, they bombarded everyone weekly about how proud they are of being over 60% diversified. Really makes a man feel good that busted his hump all those years.

Last manager prior to accepting the voluntary package stated if there was a diversity meeting the same time as the weekly escalation meeting with the VP that he would be attending the diversity meeting rather than the escalation meeting. Hey Mcfly, did you forgot what why you get paid.

If they hadnt just reclaimed a personal day for MLK they probably would already have done juneteenth. There might be enough spacing between putting mlk back on the calender soon and you’ll have your wish.

This company and its officers will be front and center for hearings in February.

Just look at Vweb right now. All but one article are political or social issues. Only one is about the core business. ThEy lost the message. I agree with the positions but not the priority of focus. If the company really lived the values, they wouldn't need to shout them. Focus needs to get back to the core of what we sell, period.

An absolute H1B reverse take-over of an American company. McKinsey and Blackrock definitely had a hand in this. This really needs to be looked at. Just like the hiding of DOL notices. This will likely be a shorter term phenomena because of the fall out from the elections in the fall. The company has been on the wrong side of the politics and should have never been involved in it in the first place. Now a 5th Column has taken the company down from the inside albeit unknown to the outside world. This is definitely not a time to hold this stock IMHO.

Kumbaya teamwork comes easy when the pie is growing. Now the pie is shrinking , and things are going to be nasty as long as that happens
