Just heard today that a hiring freeze is in-effect until 6/30. No official announcement yet and don’t know which organizations are impacted. Probably attributed to the re-org stuff Stankey communicated last week. They are already moving entire departments between Business and Consumer. NEO will probably be affected as well. Doesn’t look like open requisitions will be filled until after 6/30. You’re welcome.

just heard that a SAL in the GBS Sales Org, had asked his manager that if with the new re-org if any exit packages would be offered that he, the SAL would willing to take-it and he evidently was given a package to leave.
I want my promotion and I want it now!
Yes, I know most definitely that there are many employees within the ranks that have overstayed their usefulness and would be more than willing to accept an early termination package. The problem is that T is willing to wait it out and hope that the most senior personnel leave on their own.
“Last in, first out!”
The best thing T could do is reverse this policy in the majority of cases.
lol is that why I just saw an advertisement for a professional system administrator.
man I don't miss the useless shuffles just to make it look like all the vps are doing something.
haven't moved in the four years at my current job and i am challenged and find something new all the time.
att couldn't manage itself out of a wet paper bag.
Big deal, they have way too many employees anyway. Many employees like myself have one hour of work in an eight hour workday. Talk about an ineffiecient company, T has got to be number one in that category. Besides wages, fuel for vehicles is being wasted big time.
2 hiring managers told me that internal job applications are on hold until they sort out org changes. I'll be spending my time applying for jobs outside, pretty sure I'm not the only one.
TYSP = Talented Young Scientist Program?
Last in, first out!
Again, no official announcement yet, but my guess is all internal management requisitions below officer level. NPW and union reps probably won’t be impacted.
With rising fuel prices and tech work very limited, you can bet some technicians will be losing or giving up their jobs for the cause! A Transit Mini used to cost around $38 to fill and now it's at $58-60. The difference of $20 times 50,000 vehicles out there is $1M more each week for operating expenses! Can't sustain that for too long!
what are TYSPs ?
Just another amateur practice with T's finest. Executives take a different seat and take several rounds of operational review to learn their new gig, more time figure out headcount numbers. None of these extracircular activities have any thing to do with real work. Meanwhile, the talent pipeline take a hike elsewhere.
No. Just for TYSPs
More opportunities for consultants!!
Does this include filling requisitions for NPWs?
