Climate Change?!!

I left Wells last year, but am still good friends with many that work there. Apparently there was a town hall today? A few texted me saying Chuckie and Ellen spoke about climate change being such a priority of the time. Are you joking?!

An organization that is under an FRB growth cap, numerous consent orders, and an issue portfolio larger than you can shake a stick at is focused on climate change?! WOKE! It's no wonder the work that needs to be done to get the asset cap lifted is still not done, because the focus is on climate change and not risk and control management!

If I was a WF board member and caught wind of today's town hall, I'd call a special meeting to terminate them both, get outta here!

Btw, how does a company and its executives who want 250,000 or so people to drive to the office 3 days a week have any credibility to lecture anyone about climate change when they're having all those cars emit greenhouse gases going to the office 3 days a week? Did anyone ask them that? Because it's complete hypocrisy. It's about time these people get called on their BS!

@sul, electric vehicles actually have much less maintenance than gas powered vehicles. They certainly have their place today and are almost certainly the way of the future. Too bad there are so many id--ts pushing them before they're ready though.

Electric cars? LOL. Too high maintenance. Can hardly find a place to plug up. They don't run as far as gasoline powered cars. I'll never buy an electric car.
Besides, I'm too in love with the smell of gasoline, anyway.

I got Zucked when I posted about shareholders pushing back against WF for all their wokeness. Quite easy to find the stories though.

Definitely! WF is being hypocritical on this. We should cancel RTO and adopt a more climate conscious investment strategy.

I will never buy an electric car! I might even buy an old wagoneer or suburban just to use more gas and add more carbon.

It's WF's way of pressuring 250 thousand people to buy electric cars.

"Look at all the gas money you can save!".

Also, that way they can eventually say something like "we used to emit 25 gazillion tons of carbon when our people burned gasoline, but now that everyone has gone electric we're not emitting any carbon".

BTW, I asked a question regarding this exact topic. They never addressed it. I bet a thousand people asked the same thing.

I feel that Charlie does not believe in the words that is coming out of his mouth. He spews garbage to keep the woke crowd and government happy in hopes Wells Fargo will get off the naughty list.
