Agree that it was an honest mistake. But the problem is that it is, unfortunately, typical of WFC’s lack of attention to detail and inability to get things right the first time.

Focus on the wrong things, lay off experienced employees, force departments in to short-handed status, send work to third-party contractors and third- world countries and we become a sh-t show.

When I was at WFA I also noticed that any error made always favored them. We always had to be on look out for "mistakes" to prevent compensation reduction

@bmx+1guLvrRL I would agree with you, until I look at all of WF's mistakes. They all go one way - to benefit WF. WF is either very lucky, or extremely incompetent. Based on my experience, I believe the latter.

@bmx+1guLvrRL Honest Mistake?? seriously, that's your take?
WF has distributed many job aides for writing/sending email and letters. This is an epic fail.

I mean this is super unfortunate but does seem to be an honest mistake/automated error that could happen anywhere. I’m sure we will pay dearly for it and rightfully so compensate the broker.

If anything, there’s a decent chance this actually helps him transfer his book to be honest. His clients that maybe would’ve been on the fence may see this sloppy administrative error as a reason to hop for sure.

He’s gonna be just fine.

Not surprised by this event. Wells Fargo is a toxic bank that will do anything for a profit or bonus. The Bank's reply says it all "Opps, we made a mistake".
