I having a hard time just giving a darn about the work my group does. Everything is so layered and the group I'm with seems insignificant as we work to get a seat at the table. We are encouraged to ask questions and provide credible challenge, but for what? Is the goal to be the person that ask to question no one thought of? Is that how you prove your worth here?

Stop struggling.....do as everyone else and just don't give a cr-p what they think anymore.
Feel your pain, I work in risk doing audits and control validation yet anytime I I have a finding (based on my 10 years as a CISA and CISSM) it gets overturned and told they need to be found effective, this place is a joke.
Sounds like the team is struggling to be relevant in the organization. If I'm right I would question longevity and take action. Much of my org is tech moving to India and we are expected to provide SME. Sucks, but that's the future.
