Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does Wells Fargo regret lay offs and treating employees like cr-p?

With the job market now on fire, I wonder if Wells regrets laying off talent in 2020-21 and creating tons of attrition by treating employees badly. I was laid off in 2020 (experienced relationship manager and long term good performer) and was rehired within a month at significantly higher pay. I was also recently offered a large retention bonus by my new employer. I see tons of job postings now at Wells in my field.. i would never go back, and I don’t know anyone that would want to work for Wells given the reputation. It just seems like current management at Wells has really dropped the ball, and the company is now the employer of last resort.

"Who is “Wells" in your question?" - this is the heart of it.

There is no reflection or institutional learning. It's just a bunch of isolated decisions by different people with different concerns. There isn't enough coordination to have a conspiracy.

I remind you this is an organization that bullied, abused and fired over 5,000 branch bankers because they did not meet sales goals or set up fake accounts to meet high pressure sales targets, then got fines billions then had 8 former exutives fined by occ for a collective $59 million in 2020. If you need a refresher, read the 150+ page occ report on it, I think it's still on their website. They have never been an employee centered company. Why would that change?!?

You're joking right? No of course not or they wouldn't still be treating people like cr-p like they are.
