Everyone agrees the environment is toxic but all anyone wants to do is contribute to it and not do anything to improve it. A start would be to just be cordial to each other.
No, but this site sure does. Makes sense, by and large happy people living fulfilling lives often have other things to do.

Sounds like everything in life right now. Everyone whining about something but never trying to make a change.
WF creates miserable people via its poor culture, clueless managers filling seats, and constant reorganization.
When I joined my current team I was praised by management regarding my pleasant demeanor and good attitude. I genuinely wanted to be there, and loved my work.
Fast forward....
Today I hate it. I'm burnt out from fighting every roadblock that's put in front of me that keeps me from getting my job done. I now just keep quiet and do just enough to keep me off their radar. I'm just marking time until retirement in the next couple of years.
Somebody said "It's hard for us to care when they don't care". That kinda nails it.

I think working at the company makes people frustrated and unhappy. In all my roles at previous companies I was noted for my upbeat and positive attitude. That lasted about 3 months here. I've been here a year and am working on leaving. The culture of learned helplessness, shame and blame, blatant unprofessionalism (regular cussing/name calling) is just wild. It is difficult to keep a positive attitude around here, even keeping a neutral attitude is difficult.
They forced tens of thousands of employees back to the office against their will a few months after giving the vast majority of them 1-3% raises with inflation raging at 8%+. You expect people to smile and pretend to care about this place? Are you delusional? Charlie, is that you?
It USED to be great...
The layers of bureaucracy kind of ki-l any ambition. It’s a two way street- we all live under constant threat of layoffs so most people do the absolute minimum. The company is up front that we are cogs and they will think nothing of “wishing us well on our future endeavors “ so why would people come in eager and happy.
You said everyone agrees it's a toxic environment, but you're acting surprised it's a toxic environment. No one is doing anything about it because that's part of what happens in a toxic environment. Low morale and no motivation.
I think the US in general is bitter, not just Wells.
I'm in the verge of being laid off after 10 years. The company makes you bitter. Wells Fargo customers are entitled as-----s!
