Tell me what you know about the directive across control teams to have at least 25% of staff overseas by year end. Anyone else heard this? Came from a leader 3-4 down.

Seems like a small percentage
Chas e is at 70% offshore and shooting for 80. Considering their failed management is at WF now, you know where they are going with it eventually.

Group issue management teams (gim)
Wells needs to 0ump the breaks on automation until they come up with technology that can handle it. Auto's push for auto approval is going to bring huge losses because the DOS based systems used are antiquated and unequal to the task.

This is true. And GIM will be scaled way down says my manager.
@1jpx+1goUWaLy this is true of nearly all of the risk, control and testing roles. Our competitors are not spending nearly as much in these areas as we are.
The re-imagine project to essentially strip down all the bloat in the controls and processes that were so poorly designed for long term viability in the TCP work streams will go a long way in producing a reduced headcount. How long it takes them to get that arrival point is the only open question.
Is that raw headcount or effective headcount? If it's effective, that translates to 75% raw. Our group is about 50-50, and I can only name 2 resources who actually do any real work.
What about Gim?
I hate to be a jerk but most IT&V should be automated anyway. That’s really the problem. So many processes are so over engineered and manual they’re too expensive to keep onshore and are collapsing under their own weight.
On the flip side, if things were set up as automated with minimal manual intervention you’d probably only need 30% of the current staff to run it.
The bloat has got to go.

I didn’t hear that exactly but did see a future projection slide in my group where the graph showed 30% total head count of my group is the goal and we are currently at 17%. This was not discussed. I just caught it during the presentation.
