Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Which brain surgeon at Wells Fargo decided to allow trading in fractional shares?

NYSE and NASDAQ do not support trading in fractional shares, therefore neither should Wells Fargo concern themselves with such trivial activities at this time. Who decided to bury the firm in yet more money draining minutia? Lets put our focus and energy towards profitable services and strategies. Let’s prioritize and first put our brain power towards improving oversight and getting the bank out from under the asset cap before wasting more time and money on such money-draining ridiculousness.

The mindless leadership of this bank is no better than those on the Titanic, focusing on which music the band is playing when the ship is going down.

A reflection of easy money and overvaluation of financial assets. Just chill, all will go back to normal once a crash happens - banks will be bailed again, but the little guy investing in fractions of shares won't. WF is chasing what others did months ago (Schwab Stock Slices), perhaps a sign of a top.

I would think it's a profitable strategy to be competitive with the market, which is definitely going the fractional route.

My guess is that some manager, who was in fear of becoming irrelevant, came up with this idea to “prove his/her value” and our clueless leadership fell for it. I see it happening every day in some form or another. D-mb and d-mber are running the show.

Trying to keep up with the industry, i.e. Fidelity and Schwab.
