Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How much will be inflation in 2022?

What's your estimate. I am bearish and expect a large jump due to the escalating war in Europe and growing prices of food and energy. I expect a 9% inflation hit this year.

And they'll steal billions more from us to pay off student loans and reward the industrial education complex.

@dlg+1gkf9HWd - It's not that inflation is good/bad. It's the rate of inflation. The current inflation rate, beginning last year, is out of control. You expect 1 - 1.5%, not what we currently have.

There are two basic schools of thought on this.

The first is that inflation is bad.

The other is that inflation isn't bad.

It just depends which school of thought you choose to subscribe to, given that they're equally valid.

Are we talking about real inflation or the cooked numbers that the FRB publishes? For the former, 10% is my guess. As it turns out, dumping cash out of helicopters constantly actually has consequences.
