Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How can we confirm this?

My manager mentioned last Friday that so far, between 70 and 80 percent of employees have switched to hybrid. I think he's just guessing or trying to make it sound better than it is since he's nowhere near high enough to be privy to that information. Is there any way to find out if that number is true or not? I thought it was under 50 percent.

I believe what comes out of my manager's mouth about as much as I believe what comes out of the mainstream media "news" outlets.

Take everything that your manager says with a big grain of salt.

I manage a team of 10 and thus far only 3 aren't regularly coming in for a mirade of reasons so based on my sample size I can deduse 70% of WF is back in the office.

This seems like it’s in the ballpark.

This site is great, but it will give you a skewed perception of Wells Fargo. Most people here work in tech, which is a small part of the overall headcount.

Define ‘switch to’. If he means what the spreadsheet says you are mapped to (Full RTO, hybrid, staying remote), then yes he is correct.

If ‘switch to’ means have adopted hybrid and are coming to the office on a part time basis, then no chance. Even that could be up for debate…. Does it include people who stopped in once for whatever reason and haven’t been back? Does it include tech agile teams who only have to show up for special ceremonies (1 per month/quarter/whenever)?

How high do you think you need to be? You could be in building maintenance, or reception. All you need for this is a good friend in payroll. After 20+ years in the corporate grind, I'm continually amazed at how so many haven't picked up on the need for networking and how cool it is to have friends in benefits, compensation, HR, etc... It's SO nice to be informed. :)
