Got a huge raise this year. Just submitted a resume to another employer.
Government will work employers to get rid of 50+ If Covid comes back
I would rather be in the office than welded into my home like in China, they are locking them up asymptomatically and ki----g their pets, they finally stopped taking the kids away. Its all to collapse the supply chain.
Spouse is top administrator of main hospital in our area. Said our entire healthcare landscape is forever changed by COVID and it will cost us ALL a lot of money (e.g., increased premiums, programs, long-haul COVID care centers)...so many don't even realize what's coming, particularly among those who never took COVID seriously in the first place and helped prolong it into becoming endemic (which it did not have to be).
The amount of issues in patients --even those who had mild COVID once -- is staggering. Blood clots in brain, heart, lungs, etc. All ages and among otherwise healthy people. Some die suddenly in transit to hospital. Families are stunned.
Believe what you want about "COVID being over". However, it will never stop affecting countless peoples' lives.
The long-term effects of COVID will affect everything for decades to come.
"Hospitalizations don’t seem to be as severe, my wife works at our local hospital and says they haven’t need respiratory machines as much as with Delta. But she also says it’s still pretty bad and is still causing the brain issues and blood clot problems that come with all Covid infections."
yes, with omicron there was a lower rate of progression to hospitalization and death than with delta... but there was still a surge of hospitalization and deaths with a lag...
And yes as you point out... now known... brain shrinkage, stroke, heart problems... established sequelae of covid infection, even omicron...
Philadelphia just reintroduced indoor mask mandate starting next week.
buckle up.
We are done with vivid and now on the war in Ukraine. The war is getting old too so next attraction is coming very soon. I’d say if war is not done by May 9th, next scare will be introduced by then.
Chicken little says what ?
We all know nobody wants to go back, but using Covid as an excuse is old and tired.
Nobody cares any more.
It's here but nobody wants to admit it because we're supposed to be living with it.
It's all about the Benjamins.
@zrp, thanks so much for the information.
The US has stopped tracking and reporting COVID infections in many places. It’s already here. Hospitalizations don’t seem to be as severe, my wife works at our local hospital and says they haven’t need respiratory machines as much as with Delta. But she also says it’s still pretty bad and is still causing the brain issues and blood clot problems that come with all Covid infections.
Time to move on to another excuse.
No, and yes.
