Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I'll be gone by the end of next month

I was never too happy here but WFH made everything more bearable. I wouldn't even mind RTO as much if I didn't have to deal with my as----e manager face to face again. I've been looking for remote jobs but I guess I'm a bit late to the party, since it's slim pickings right now. To leave, I'm going to have to take a pay cut. I don't mind. It's worth it to get out and keep my sanity. I see too many people continue to be miserable because they can't find a comparable offer. That won't be me. I've given myself until the end of June to leave, and that's what I'm going to do.

One of the guys on my team announced that he's leaving. It was during a big monthly conference call, so everyone heard it at once.

As soon as he said it, it got quiet. I then asked, "Do you know if they have any more openings over there...?"

The conference call erupted in laughter. I got a "talking to" by my manager, who I think agrees with me but just can't say anything. LOL.

It took 3 months of interviewing but I am OUT. I’ll be making $10k more, and I may be the new guy at a new company, but that’s the same amount of job security that I have at WF being told there will be layoffs forever and knowing that Charlie gives absolutely zero effs about any of the employees or their loyalty.

Right on, friend! I hope to be gone around the same time. Been looking in earnest for the last 3 weeks or so and just starting to get interviews. Wishing us luck on the path to sanity.

Good luck, and don't be like everyone else here who insisted they were leaving after bonuses were cashed or once RTO started to roll out.

Management called their bluff, it was all talk. No one is actually leaving.

Be the change!

When the recession hits, and they lay you off at your new job, it won't be much fun. You'll feel like an i__ot too.
