Holidays - office or WFH day

Does anyone know if holidays count as an in office day or WFH day? I asked several managers and they said play it safe and come in 3 days. Same thing for PTO come in 3 days if you take 3 days off come in two days.

Your managers are weak the kind I would never want to work for. Probably don't voice any of your ideas either, wouldn't want to risk sticking his/her neck out.
To answer your question, holiday counts as one of your 3 'in office' days; I have it in writing.

We are in the 3 in/2 home split. Yesterday’s holiday was counted as part of the 3 “in office” per manager & their manager in an email.

So nothing documented? And we’re supposed to trust our managers word of mouth (not written authorization) and randoms on this site?

Just get a real remote job so you won't even need to ask here. Save yourself the trouble.

Manager here: don't play it safe, a holiday, PTO, etc. all count as a day in the office.

Shouldn't we be worried about creating a better customer experience, a better product, better tools, software etc... says entirely too much when employees/adults mention things that a small child would worry about, i.e., does the holiday count. Not sure what type of culture Charlie is breading here, but it doesn't look intelligent and sure doesn’t look focused on the prize.

Why say "play it safe" instead of getting an answer for you? Ridiculous! To answer your question, a holiday is counted as an in-office day, along with PTO days.

Holiday = office day
PTO = office day
Personal Day = office day
Volunteer Day = office day
Bereavement = office day
Jury Duty = office day

I haven't covered them all, but this should be enough to notice a trend.

Play it safe - what a lazy answer. That’s their job - to know or find out this information
