Or is it just based on rumors? I know rumors have their purpose but by the day before, shouldn't we know a bit more from official sources? I don't think there'll be layoffs today, especially since we had a few smaller rounds in the last few weeks. I hope I'm not proven wrong by the end of the day.

Yes, I’ve been told a building is closing today or Tuesday. The lease was up and they are not renewing and are not transferring the people in those jobs to other jobs.
Just heard surprisng news of critical application tech roles being eliminated. We are stretched so thin as it is, can't get anything developed due to lack of resources, but management remains bloated. We have more managers than ever, and keep bringing more aboard. wtf?

A recession is coming. That hot job market will be closing very quickly.
Being laid off at the start of summer with a decent severance package in this hot job market sounds like a blessing to me
