I came to WF because it had a good reputation within the particular area that I had expertise.
I stayed at WF - for 20 years - because they hired me as a 100% remote worker.
I'm still at WF because I retire in a year (they don't know that) and it doesn't make sense for me to quit right now.
If I were in the job market now, I would NOT seek employment at WF. It is not the same company that it was when I joined.
I love my job, but not the current temporary exec team. I'm here because the larger group I'm in is sometimes impacted by the scourge of layoffs and I want to stay current on the latest treachery from the NY execs.

I was a contractor, I quit after one year! During that year, my entire team quit. Everyone who I worked with on other teams quit. It was a toxic and horrible experience. The people who stay, are the psychopaths who feed on the toxicity. I did not meet one employee who had anything positive to say about this company.

You would typically think if your visiting a layoff forum your concerned about losing a your job, one that you like. But what do you find on this forum?
Cuz they pay me a lot of money
if we left then we'd have nothing to complain about.
I still work here because it's good money for no stress work, short commute and free parking.
If you think WF pays well, then you are clearly mistaken. Please check Blind and you will know how underpaid you are.
Q told us that the best way to weather THE STORM is to work in the office and never question what the company says (unless we are required to click through a 5 minute slideshow about how to not be racist all the time)

I love it here. The problem is your coming to a board where 90% of the posters either were fired, laid off for various reasons and bitter, news staff digging for dirt, or political activist looking for handouts, list of losers is a mile long. The place isn't perfect, no place is but it pays well for honest days work.
