Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Frequency of layoffs

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we've had layoffs every week for the past several months. It's not always something major but it always happens. Is this the way things are being done now? We used to have one or two major rounds per year but we usually knew we were safe between them. Now we have to stress over it every single week?

The last couple of years it was monthly, and some months 2x to catch up, and some months were skipped because of systems conversions and other operational issues. Things also quieted down at end of last year and beginning of this year bc of the massiveness of the workday conversion - too much HR risk to do layoffs at the same time. Now all of that’s done, there will be a steady stream.

they've obviously gotten better at it and have probably automated a lot of the process thus they can process more layoffs more often.

There is a thread updated here weekly. We’ve all been tracking it.

I have tracked layoffs for the past 2.5 years. Take it or leave it, don't care, but we lose on ave around 2k a month. And that's not all on the so-called layoff Thursday. We had a lull of layoffs during end of fourth quarter, beginning of first, but they have ramped up.

Yes that’s what it’s been for me since like November

It’s a bit stressful. I’m the only provider for my kids so here’s to hoping.
