Are they generally showing up, or not, for their expected three days in the office. When Chuckie doles out his next round of layoffs, do those key employees who do not make it in as much as the others get bounced? If not, do those who avoided Charlie's axe but showed up then decide it is time to spend more time at home?

I'm NOT designated as a key employee. But another person on my team is.
I know this because both of us are over 50 miles away from the closest WF location. The other person (the Key employee) is listed as Remote. I (the non-key person) am listed as being at a location 50 miles away.
For the moment my manager is telling me to keep working remote. But to be honest we do not get along very well (we're former peers).
Most of what we consider key employees are not those who just joined. So yes, most key employees are showing up.
Key employees have intact remote agreements.
