Who will succeed the Board of Directors now that there is finally a war on the people pushing esg by some heavy investors. About time!
It is true. It really is all about the handful of peeps at the very top. Not the shareowners, nor employees, nor the customers. Just the top. But to stay there they will dole out morsels to those who will do there will regardless.
Last Friday one of the co-founders of the company passed away and will be buried in his beloved Greenwich, CT. Some believed that the actual founding of the company had far less to do with a 'merger of equals' between regulated Bell Atlantic and unregulated GTE in order to rule the telecom world, than one Co-CEO having to live too far away in Irving, Texas to play at the Winged Foot Golf Course or dine at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club.
The 'snap decision' to found this company and its two year close on June 30, 2000 is a testament to 'its all about the top five'.
Enjoy!
Who cares. Its all bu-----t . Take everything you can from VZ . The bigs only care themselves .
Sampath is toast too! He has has many chances to move the needle and never got it done. Great storyteller. Great motivational speaker, but can't close the deal. It is time for telecome time again.
Sampath sounds like Ajay 2.0 when AW moved over to Wireline IT with all his friends. The IT executive ranks became bloated overnight when several executive positions were split into multiple positions for the purpose of giving AW friends from Wireless high paying executive jobs.
Sampath will replace her. Then VBG will be run like an Indian company. More jobs going there, more similar people promoted because there seems to be no American left to turn around VBG!

Has Tami lawyered up? You know congress is going to want to speak to her next year.
