RTO Backfire/Fail

Just my own annecdotal observations: there are LESS people on site at my location after the reports/threats over the last week or so. I'm not sure this is going to go how they think it's going to go.

I've gone in 1-2 days each week. The most I've seen in my neighborhood is 45%, and that was only one day due to a division onsite meeting.

All other days it has been 25-30%. Of that group, it's being onsite from 1-4 hours.

I'd love to see the numbers of those being onsite for 8 hours, 3 days a week because I am just not seeing it.

It’s all such a colossal waste of time and resources. If they want to get rid of employees, just fire the clowns responsible for all of the RTO theater. Bunch of make-work positions held over from the initial covid response. Useless!

I think this has been the quietist day so far. We may have 5-6 people in the area for 50. It looks like some come in late and leave right after lunch.

They aren't officially monitoring RTO according to SVB.

Sorry, but what part about attrition being the goal do you not understand? If lots of people don’t follow the RTO rules, then that’ll eventually help leaders meet the attrition #s. If the # is high, so what. They want employees to leave or be fired to lower the headcount here. The company can require you to RTO, plain and simple. Look out for yourself (if you need your job) and don’t count on what others may be doing or saying.

There have NEVER been more than about 5-7 people on the entire floor each time I've come in. Granted I only come in 2 days a week. but seriously? My "neighborhood" is slated for approx 40 cubes...and there are maybe three people here in this section. It's a total waste of time.
NUMBERS...can't fire us all!
