Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

You don't say!

AT&T still looks weak after divestitures, says Moffett

“The company isn’t growing,” said Moffett. “Their troubled Business Wireline segment is shrinking at a mid-single digit rate. Their Consumer Wireline segment is little better than flat. And their Mobility segment is adding subscribers, but only at a very high cost, leaving ARPU stagnant. The composite, on a pro forma basis, is a business generating no service revenue or EBITDA growth whatsoever.”

Why do you think Randall was so desperate to do M&A?

The stagnant comms business is not the result, it's the CAUSE.

Randall chose acquisition targets very poorly, that's on him. We're now back to the same stagnant/declining comms business.

Yay.

Now that we are a telecom company, what are we really going to grow? Just count number of subscribers every quarter and pay the dividend.

Randall was a massive failure. He should’ve been forced out way before he was.
