Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Consider the facts

John Stankey's compensation $24.8 million in 2021
Jason Kilar earned $52.2 million in 2020
2021 gross capital investment of $21.6 billion

2022 Employee Group budget $200,000

We are always told the employees are a vital and competitive assert for the company. The stats above tells a very different story, in case you were wondering why there're so many negative posts on this board.

Frustrated a little - I guess you are right some people can't handle the truth.

@1zcr+1g7fzaTw

I hope att doesn't drag unsuspecting people down with them like they did me.
I have gotten two promotions since I left att and I have always loved what I do and enjoy doing it daily.
Att doesn't reward hard work but gives projects to their favorites/connected so they can get promoted while the rest of the people do the hard lifting.

both of you need to face reality and be positive. just because we want to help unsuspecting innocent people to stay clear of att doesn't mean we are dragging anybody with anybody.

if you are not connected in att in one way or another you will not get anyway. it is a who you know company and I have not experienced that at any other company. it is pretty disgusting and that is the truth and looks you two can't handle the truth and are frustrated because you know deep down it is true.

att had to buy dtv and other companies to stay relevant just like IBM bought Red Hat.
then they could take their IP and say it is theirs.
talk about who is dragging down others I would say att is master at dragging.
But it is all good it just part of corporate Amedica and it is all forgiven as long as the Senior Management goes to church every week and asks for forgiveness.

There are negative posts because most of these people have a negative attitude in life. They just complain about anything they can and try to drag down anyone that will listen. They're always looking for something to complain about.

Casting judgement on sins and attractiveness, you will go far.

Most employees aren't in it to make millions, only a fare wage. Executives choose where to invest, employees are not treated as an assert. Speak the facts, and have no fears when you meet your maker.

Re: @lga…’You come on this board so people learn the truth’…Really? You provide the truth?’ as Jack Nicholson said, ‘You can’t handle the truth.’ No. The truth is that if those of you complaining, whining and criticizing every single thing about ATT, spent a portion of that time enhancing your skills and education, you wouldn’t be so miserable. And if you have left already, why are you still here on this forum spreading your B.S.?

I come on this board so people learn the truth - I left on my own and it was the best move i made in my life I wish I made it sooner.

So anybody who is thinking of working at att please run far away.

I kept my skills up on my own and did not take att's useless whatever classes.

Att is joke and senior management is only making their friends and family rich while the employees do all the work and suffer under their mis-direction.

att needs a serious management jolt. I have been to two places since I left and no way I would go back to att but I would go back to the other two.

in a job now doing cutting edge stuff and not getting snubbed because I am not somebodies nephew, uncle, cousin, brother, or army buddy.

the new company I am with is doing much better than att and is making money hand over fist and they don't hire too many people. they always keep it at around 90,000 and I haven't heard the word layoff since I left att.

so anybody thinking of accepting an offer at att please don't you won't regret it believe somebody who wasted 17 years at att.

They care about you enough to pay you well and cover your medical expenses and give you a pension when you retire. Ungrateful much?

There are actually ‘negative posts’ on this board because many, perhaps most, despise the company and the leadership. And yet, they have little or no ambition, drive, interest or ability to move on to a company that meets their particular high standards. So rather than fixing their circumstances, they come here to lick their wounded little egos and criticize. Envy, one of the 7 sins, is very unattractive, by the way.

Bottom line is they don’t care about any of us. They care about keeping costs low to increase their compensation. Until that model changes, it will go down hill from here.

Expect major layoffs this year. We are about 50k heavy on employees right now.

Hate it when there are others out there making so much more than me.

Kilar and Stankey were employees at times of this compensation.

The officers DO care about employees. See?
