Rest assured these surveys are not anonymous, even if they claim to be. Put down some negative feedback and you will be hearing about it from your boss in the near future. I've seen it happen time and time again.

I do it with a smile every time. It never fails to amaze me how fast it turns into action items for the very people who truthfully report on the survey. From a management perspective, it’s a waste of time IMO. The second they don’t see positive feedback you get 50 action items loaded to you to fix issues that you probably reported in the survey.

Coworker and I filled out the survey with brutal honesty and it got my toxic manager to calm down a lot.

T should survey its employees to see who would be willing to accept an early retirement package rather than have forced layoffs wi--y-nilly!

AVP and Director said we had to fill them out. They can easily tell who didn't too. We will give them good results and they will leave us alone

Years ago I filled out these surveys. Not anymore. I got a Q from my 6th level wanting to know why my miral was so low at ToxicT! She had no clue about how many people were wacked by her in her org?

She was clueless!

I'll never fill out another!

This has been ongoing event for many years. Have you, as an individual, witnessed changes as a result of the survey? If the answer is “no” then that tells you all you need to know about the survey.
If you partake in the survey, be brutally honest. Otherwise don’t respond to it because fluff responses won’t help employees or change the company for the positive.

Pointless exercise. Org managers will up the pressure to get more people to complete the survey. When results come out, they wash their hands and say corporate policy like vacation, merit pay, promotions have nothing to do with them and therefore no actions will be taken. They only care of participation percentage, not the actual feedback. I don’t play their BS game, I will spend time doing other pointless activities.

If you want to aggravate your managers, don’t do the surveys at all. They don’t care about negative reviews, but for some reason apathy really seems to bother them.

They only use participation to get JD Powers Awards....never anything more.

The questions were tame this year. Anonymous and voluntary but our manager wants informing as soon as you have completed it and chase if you do not. She reads out the negative comments to all and asks whoever put it to explain what they meant as she doesn’t agree with the comments. Next year they learn and don’t make comments and she shows improvement and no issues. Only newbies to the team comment and then learn. Pointless exercise to massage the egos of management to show how they think they have improved the group and company.

I fill out the survey and do not care if my manager gets it or tries to figure out it was me that gave the comments. I know they want to see high participation but at the same time either not participating or just spitting back what they want to hear would be worse to me.

If the only problem the company had was unhappy employees, then the survey makes sense. But there are so many issues T is dealing with that the survey has become a formality. Complete it if you wish, but don’t expect changes.

Don’t respond they know who said what. Your manager gets a report.

They have zero shats to give what you think.
It's not anonymous.
best thing you can do is not respond.
38 years...I know.
If you like something, they'll change it.
If you don't they'll double down.
Smile, wave.....cash the checks.
