Verizon 3.0 in the works

Congratulations another transformation is amongst us. With the union strike around the corner Hans has decided to also roll out VZ 3.0 along with another VSP. As an HR leader I’m appalled and disappointed. Will happen in early 2023.

VSP in early 2023? Nope. Would only happen at the end of a year.

The VSP of 2018 isn't happening again anytime soon. If you didn't take it then and are waiting for another you will be sorely disappointed.

If the cash flow is to continue then 2.0 needs to go the way of the 2g flip fone.

Why a VSP in early 2023? Wouldn't they want everyone off the books by EOY 2022?

The VSP is to get more people to leave to bring the net employee base below 100k. If it's as good as the last one, a lot of people will leave - market is on a hiring spree as it is. Add the Wokeness being pushed, company will be a shell of itself - aka Verizon 3.0

tracfone=credit challenged users that tie up resources on the phone for hours and complain about everything! they don't know how to use the web portal and expect their free "obama phone" as their right.

You had the know that the entire game was over and that the nutz had finally taken over the asylum with the Tracfone deal. It seems that the company leadership cannot stop themselves in their race to the bottom of the barrel of telecom. "Network As A Service" has already been done by AT&T long ago and how Bell Atlantic and NYNEX were born. Then what happened? AT&T got gobbled up by its abandoned children.

One thing is for certain is that cash flow is going to constrict and layoffs will continue in a vicious cycle until people who know both this business and THIS market a returned the the C-suite. But is does look like all of this has been done on purpose and is why the leadership is what it is and layoffs will never end.

Verizon 3.0 is simply a unionless Verizon. The end of the final contract Verizon will ever see is here.

Hopefully 3.0 will involve bringing back John Stratton or someone who is somewhat familiar with the telecommunications business and US market. What we have now is a clown show that is living off of the network and reputation that was built long ago.

Until this company focuses on its core competencies instead of its woke competencies the dividend is at risk.

When all else fails, rename it (Verizon 3.0).

The shareholders might want to jump on that because $40M is still a lot cheaper than 3.0, 4.0 or 6G

It is funny that there are almost no serious telecom people left.

"3.0 is better than 2.0 just like 5g is better than 4g."

That is the best post of the decade and tells you everything you need to know; well, for those who 'know'!

That is just too good, like when the cable companies started teasing about 10G.

The street ought to call him the flim flam man.

Blackrock - the 5 Yeee Hee Hee Man's real boss - would never allow another strike. I am very entertained by these HR trolls, none of whom ever work in the field during a strike for a reason.

All of them. Not one single manager now can install fios, run cable a jumper or fix a phone. Most have no idea how to process bill nor speak face to face to a customer. The union has all of the power now. All.

He is lost. His big idea does not work in this environment. Once again the wh-z kids blew it because they did not understand the science nor the cost nor the efficacy.

Just like their fixation on electric vehicles. Clearly none of these people understand that electricity by and large comes from coal, and as Elon Musk pointed out, there is not enough electricity to power every bodies green dreams.

He grabbed onto an old EU article of 5G and the rest is history. Except VZ 5G internet for the home is nowhere near as good as FiOS.

When will the adults come back to the company?
