My job was outsourced to their resources in the Philippines and there were others. They gave me no heads up and told me the same day as my last day. Has anyone else been laid-off this year?

I was laid off in Nov. 2021. Our department was outsourced. They hired people in India, The Philippines, and out of state. We trained new hires for months. Then out of no where, Bam! Effective immediately, your position is no longer operating at the call center! I found a job outside of Banking! Best decision ever! There will be more lay offs! Chainsaw Charlie

WF is utilizing many more resources in Philippines and India than is realized. It is all about $$. No concern for current employees, it's own country or the customer.

FYI to folks asking…..leaving same day, doesn’t mean you don’t get 60 days notice. Sixty days is the LAW, and leaving early is not new. Pre Charlie folks who were laid off generally worked for 30 / spent 30 still technically employed before severance kicked in. Exception was if you were in a position to do harm during the workout period — customer service, financial advisors etc. Now I think it’s more common to be asked to move on same day — but you still get 60 days before severance.
Have to give 60 days because of the Federal Warn Act. Severance starts after that.

Did you get 60 days non working notice? Or does your severance start on day 1?
I know of several dozen that were moved from one LOB to completely new jobs and weren’t given a choice what they would be doing or who they would be working for.
