If you read the posts on Truist's Facebook page, you'll see that many people are not happy with the merger and are closing accounts left and write. Truist doesn't even respond anymore on Facebook to ease their concerns, just sad.

Truist - it stands for Better
My mom is unhappy with her current bank and she asked me if she should open a new one with Truist. I told her very firmly NO. This is not the place you want to put your money.
Still taking a paycheck no problem with that
I work here and I closed my accounts as well, I needed my manager to approve my tellers to make the check because it was large. Walked to the credit union and made a deposit was so easy. I am baffled when I come inside Truist and the lights still work. Everything is broken and the bank does not know how to treat customers or employees, will never deserve my business. But yet the bank has enough accounts to ban prominent conservative clients which is beyond comprehension when the firm says that they are for diversity and inclusion but that's only if it aligns with their far left strategies.
For all the time, 2 yrs, they had to convert to one system, this shouldn't have happened. Debit cards not working and the hour-long wait for help that the call center couldn't fix. Terrible way to say welcome to Truist. I hope they're prepared for cyberattacks, the government has issued warnings to all financial institutions.
“It’s hard to move a checking account” seems like a horrible marketing strategy for a bank.
