lol, big city mayors have spent every waking moment for the last several decades trying to turn their cities into uninhabitable S holes, then they turn around and demand that people rush into the cesspool because...reasons? Clearly these clowns didn't learn a thing from Detroit, because they are doing everything they can to replicate it. In any case, speaking of NY specifically, maybe try working on crime a bit, that might help. Violent crime on subways is up like 250%. Clearly the revolving door criminal justice plan royally sucks. But hey, you do you NY. Good luck with that.

The mayor of NYC can fu-k off. Contrary to what he (and other New Yorkers - ahem, Chuckie!) think, NYC is not the center of the universe.

Hey NYC Mayor...if you want people back out and about, remove your sh---y-a-s vaccine and mask mandates...watch how fast this all goes away when you're not looking at it 24 hours a day.

Vote and support local economy with your dollars. This way we can support local businesses and not so much others. Unfortunately, it is very hard to say no to convince of Amazon but I am sure there will be people who will be strong and will do that.

I stimulated the economy more at home - I could eat lunch by using DoorDash etc and local restaurants, run out to do errands versus just ordering online - they don't understand that being trapped in an office for 10 to 12 hours actually reduces what you can spend and how you spend it. Money on clothes - put into my home, money on gas - lunches out for the local taqueria, office pooled parties - money spent with friends....

Soooo….if people have to RTO merely to pump up the economy, then we are operating under a false economy built on outdated rules and run by old men who can’t think about a new way to thrive and profit.

Restaurants will pop up where people live rather than depend on downtown business centers, companies will have to invest in modern technology and efficient effective processes, big oil won’t be so big anymore which will reduce our carbon footprint, our health will be better due to less stress and healthier food from home rather than fast food lunches, our kids will have parents waiting for them when they get home from school, we will still buy clothes but leisure clothes vs business clothes. What’s the problem? The foundation of our economy is not stable because times are changing. Let’s be innovative and move forward rather than fall back on an outdated system that is no longer serving it’s citizens or the planet.

You can stimulate the economy by buying things locally, spending the money you save on gas - those people need no extra financial stimulation - on other things instead, ordering from local restaurants, or buying things from your local store to eat your meals at home instead of the office. Don't spout misinformation.

Been doing exactly that for years, these extrovert face-time addicts need to grow up and learn to function as an adult.

He has a point. At some point, we all need to get back into the office again and stimulate the economy. I did get spoiled, but I admit that I do get outside when not working from home.
