Question about pay

So with the new job architecture and such…my pay definitely got bumped up which was nice (no complaints there). But on the new jobs being posted for my same position, the minimum pay listed for my location is more than I currently make. What should I do about being below the minimum for my job? Is that even allowed? Will it change in the coming months? My manager has no information on it either

“ Because they don't publish the pay in a different area differential; you could be looking at area 0 or area 1 payscale”

Yep. Correct. But not when I’m pulling the salary range from a job posting for the same city. 👍🏼

Happened to our whole team… we are way blow the minimum of the new titles. Manager said the title change is to acknowledge the advanced analytic work we do but does not impact base pay. Sounds bu-----t to me.

A lot of people said they received title salary bumps along with their merit increase and bonus earlier in January on this site. You might want to look there to see if anyone mentioned the same title?

I don’t know what has historically happened but I would never let them sit around and tell me wait, later, or i don’t know. Push them. Put in a formal request for a raise and I would go ABOVE the starting. You should be somewhere between base and mid unless you just started this new position fresh. Example: you were in compliance and moved to a totally new team. You were a tech/procedure writer and now you’re a PM. That is the only time you could be just at base. These ppl will drag their feet and before you know it, you will be behind in your professional progress. Don’t do that to yourself. Make a case for yourself and why you are valuable.

Same. Accepted a new position late last year. Then the job title change. Now I’m below the minimum because of the job title bump. Anyone know whether they are likely to bump up to the minimum in April 2022, or will I more realistically have to wait until merit increases in 2023 because this is already a new role?
